3-Month Return to Base Warranty – Terms & Conditions
1. Warranty Overview
This 3-Month Return to Base Warranty is provided by Blueline Automotive and applies to eligible used vehicles purchased from us. The warranty period lasts 3 months from the date of vehicle delivery.
Under this warranty, any covered repairs must be carried out at Blueline Automotive’s premises unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Return to Base Requirement
If a fault occurs during the warranty period, the vehicle must be returned to Blueline Automotive for inspection, diagnosis, and repair.
Repairs carried out by third parties without prior written authorisation from Blueline Automotive will not be covered.
3. Warranty Claim Authorisation
- All warranty claims must be authorised before any repairs are undertaken.
- A warranty claim form must be completed with full details of the issue.
- Blueline Automotive reserves the right to inspect the vehicle before approving repairs.
Failure to follow this process may result in your claim being declined.
4. What Is Covered
During the 3-month warranty period, this warranty covers the repair or replacement of covered mechanical or electrical components that suffer a mechanical breakdown, subject to these terms and conditions.
Coverage is limited to parts and labour approved by Blueline Automotive.
5. What Is Not Covered
This 3-Month Return to Base Warranty does not cover:
- Wear and tear items, including but not limited to brakes, clutches, tyres, batteries, bulbs, wiper blades, and filters
- Routine servicing, maintenance, or adjustments
- Damage caused by accident, misuse, negligence, or poor maintenance
- Faults caused by continued driving after a warning light or fault becomes apparent
- Diagnostic costs unless repairs are approved and carried out by Blueline Automotive
- Recovery, transportation, storage, or delivery costs
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Returning the vehicle to Blueline Automotive at their own cost
- Maintaining the vehicle in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Reporting any faults as soon as reasonably practicable
- Ceasing use of the vehicle if a serious fault or warning light occurs.
7. Warranty Period
This warranty is valid for 3 months from the date of vehicle delivery. Claims made outside of this period will not be accepted.
8. Repair Decisions
Blueline Automotive reserves the right to:
- Repair or replace covered components
- Use new, reconditioned, or equivalent-quality parts
- Decline claims for non-covered, pre-existing, or wear-and-tear related faults.
9. Courtesy Car
Blueline Automotive does not provide a courtesy car, hire vehicle, or replacement vehicle under any circumstances while a vehicle is undergoing inspection, diagnosis, repair, or warranty work. Customers are responsible for arranging their own alternative transport during any period in which their vehicle is unavailable. Blueline Automotive accepts no liability for any inconvenience, costs, or losses incurred as a result of a vehicle being off the road. This applies to all warranty types, including return-to-base warranties and third-party warranty providers, unless the provision of a courtesy vehicle is expressly agreed in writing prior to any work being carried out.
10. Consumer Rights
This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your legal rights.
